About Us

My productive journey started the day I accepted a job in Illinois, taking the risk of being away from my three daughters for months. My work involved learning to drive heavy machinery, removing sheetrock, performing water extractions, even cleaning severely burnt buildings. I traveled from state to state, witnessing the devastating aftermath of loss. This hands-on experience enables me to genuinely understand and relate to the needs of those facing challenges.

About Us

I was born and raised in the heart of Texas, in the small city of Waco. Growing up in the projects with my mother and two siblings, we faced the challenges of life on the poorer side of town. The struggles were real, but it was within those hardships that I found the strength to dream beyond my circumstances.

Eight years ago, I accepted a job in Illinois, taking the risk of being away from my three daughters for months. My work involved learning to drive heavy machinery, removing sheetrock, performing water extractions, even cleaning severely burnt buildings. I traveled from state to state, witnessing the devastating aftermath of loss. This hands-on experience enables me to genuinely understand and relate to the needs of those facing challenges.

In Illinois, our diverse team, representing various ethnicities, races, and cultures, became a family in hotel rooms where we slept four to a room, connecting over shared struggles. It wasn’t just about the color of our skin; it was about being away from home, working hard, surviving and sticking together. Our team became our lifeline in a challenging environment.

I rose to become a supervisor, overseeing post-construction clean-up. It was a moment of realization that my journey was about more than just surviving; there was potential for something greater. Encounters with high-level individuals prompted the idea of starting my own company.
Figuring out what I loved to do was a challenge. My boss who is now my client suggested starting my own company, combining my knowledge of labor struggles and business owner’s challenges in dealing with contracted labor. That idea marked my shift from an employee to an owner, leading to the birth of Turbo Temps.

Transitioning from employee to owner was a leap of faith, guided by the belief that I had a calling to fulfill. In this transformative journey, I found inspiration in a kind, gentle, smart but very direct woman and her family. She embodies the true meaning of strength. She came from a completely different up bringing, different race, even different life experiences (who soon became my mentor). The diversity with-in our connection impacted me in the most positive way while changing my view of history. This family saw something in me that at the time I didn’t see in myself. They pushed me to be great! A few years later my mentor became my business partner. She is a prayer warrior, fighting for what she deserves and for what she believes in, offering spiritual and educational support that transformed Turbo Temps and my perception of self-worth.

Her ambition and drive are motivation with-in itself, together we have a vision to change the world. Which is why we are the “Dynamic Duo”

Turbo Temps isn't just a business; it's a mission. Through this, we are trying to combat poverty, unemployment, and low wages. Turbo Temps represents a force dedicated to building communities, fostering equality, and reshaping the narrative around diversity.

The journey from the project apartments of Waco Tx, to the helm of Turbo Temps has been transformative. With unwavering commitment, we continue to work towards a future where every individual can thrive regardless of background.
